Erika helps us to shed light on the experiences of loved ones who are affected by someone’s substance abuse as well as how to cope with someone else’s addiction and recovery.

Brandon’s Advocacy: From Addiction to Informed Advocacy

More importantly however, Heidi shares with us how she found recovery.

Tanner’s Story: 12-Year-Old Drug Experimentation to Finding Hope and Support in Aftercare.

Listen to 3X Northpoint alumnus, Tanner, talk about bouncing back and forth between divorced parents, experimenting with drugs and full blown drug addiction to cope with the shame of getting kicked out of college. Until recently, Tanner always left rehab without an aftercare plan, and found himself in relapse sometimes within hours of discharge. He soon discovered the power of outpatient aftercare treatment at Ashwood Recovery, where he has finally found hope for lasting recovery.

In this episode we explore the correlation between misdiagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adolescents and addiction later in life.
